Lantern Log #10 — A Storm is Coming
Not every story in the BADLVCK-Verse unfolds in fractured wilderness or wandering caravan roads.
A Series of Laws — The Law of Storms
Some begin in places built to impose order.
High above a neon-lit city, a mountain monastery stands against the sky. Within its stone halls, masked warriors train to survive a world shaped by forces far older than faith or empire, the ancient principles known simply as the Laws.
This is where the next epic cycle begins.
The Law of Storms is a grounded fantasy story set in a world where reality itself can be bent, interpreted, and sometimes weaponised. Those who train within the Order do not worship the Laws. They learn to endure them—to channel fragments of their influence, to hold back catastrophe, and to accept the personal cost of becoming something more than human.
Their balance is fragile.
When a child is born under impossible circumstances, the certainty that has guided the Order for generations begins to fracture. His existence draws the attention of forces that do not think like people, do not move like armies, and cannot be resisted through strength alone.
As doctrine splinters and the city below becomes a battleground of interpretation and belief, a quieter question begins to take shape:
Is control truly the same as balance?
And what happens when reality itself refuses to obey the rules meant to contain it?
Philosophical in tone but grounded in visceral consequence, The Law of Storms explores identity, transformation, and the dangerous space between certainty and change. It marks the beginning of a new narrative cycle within the BADLVCK-Verse—one where survival depends not only on power, but on understanding the deeper structure of the world.
The storm has not yet broken.
But it is already gathering.

It’s not much, and it is still being edited… so bear that in mind. :)
